Marijke Owen
Marijke had the privilege of a deeply fulfilling 40-year career as a midwife, supporting countless families through one of life’s most profound experiences. Alongside her professional work, she nurtured her passion for art, attending art college while raising her children. This journey led to exhibiting her work in several galleries, a rewarding experience that allowed her to express creativity and connect with others through visual storytelling.
Beyond professional and artistic pursuits, community has always been at the heart of her life, actively involved in the development of her local community house, logical market and environmental group.
She has been a valuable part of FOFA since 2021, when joining Lillie at the Kalorama camp kitchen, she is now a volunteer supporter, and a careful, crying onion-cutter.
